Lot 3, a warm and cosy cafe store in Wanaka, New Zealand. The cafe store was located a bit out from the main block of shops from memory. The appearance outside of the cafe store was very simple and it looked quite small. However, on the inside, the high ceiling made it looked very big and the deco was very nice. There were couches around a fireplace in the centre with normal cafe tables circulating around on the edge against the windows. It really felt like home to me. There was also a bar with its wall constructed with different cuts of wooden slabs. Pretty cool.
We were in New Zealand during Winter (September) for snowboarding so they had the Winter menu on offer. We order the following dishes. I don’t remember what they were called but this was what I remembered:
Carrots and Cumin Soup with Whitebeans
Sausages with Sauerkraut
Mushrooms with Sourdough Bread
All of the dishes were very delicious! I would give it a 8 or 9 out of 10. Pretty damn good. Was perfect of the weather.
If you’re in NZ and around Queenstown on a snow trip and happen to drive through Wanaka on your rest day, do check this place out.
