The Burch and Purchese Sweet Studio adventure on Chapel Street, Melbourne.
A few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to head to Melbourne for a short girls weekend trip. We’ve been saying it for like the past 2 years that we should really go on a trip somewhere together to explore food. Yes, that was pretty much the reason for our weekend getaway; to eat delicious food. Burch and Purchese Sweet Studio was just one of the places we wanted to visit.
If you’ve been following Masterchef Australia this season, you may have seen an episode whereby the contestants had to make a dessert garden. It was pretty much inspired by Burch and Purchese Sweet Studio.
Here are a few awesome photos from the store itself.
Everything on the table was edible.
These are actual chocolates on the portrait hung in the store.
I wanted to try one of everything below. We actually went back to the store twice. Took so long to decide on what to eat since everything looked so good.
I ended up choosing the Coconut, Passionfruit, Ginger, Mint dessert below. The yellow, green and white looking dessert. It was filled with salted oat and ginger crumble, passionfruit curd, coconut ‘caviar’, mint jelly, passionfruit jelly spray with white chocolate and mint wafer. It was really sweet and refreshing. Delicious! I wanted another one right after.
They also had similar flavours in bigger size cakes.
Oh, check out the lego cake! (The lego cake is on my list of cakes to bake/decorate).
And since I am not going to visit Melbourne anytime soon, I decided to stock up on some chocolates and sweet goods. Ended up with all of these…
Next time when you’re in Melbourne, check this place out. It’s such as cute store.
